My name is Gabrielle, and I usually go by Gabe. I was born in 1983 in northern California, in the United States of America. I am german/scottish/african american, my mom is black and my dad is white (imagine whoopi goldberg married to santa claus). I grew up middle class, and I like rock music (among many other types of music). I love visual art and music, and I love to sing. I am extremely interested in understanding things. As much as I can, and in context. And when I say in context, I mean a concept in it’s own context and the context it has relative to the rest of the things in the world. I have always looked at the world and seen so many different ways and things, and how much conflict there is. I wondered why, and that led me to trying to understand how the social, cultural, and even physical world has come to be, and what value things have in the world humans have created. I plan to use this blog to record whatever ideas or philosophies I have on life and the world. I want to talk about things I have discovered to be consistently accurate or true, life lessons, my own biased perspective, quotes from others, and any news or material that I think is helpful or relavent to the human plight. Sometimes I will be philosophizing, sometimes venting, sometimes reflecting, and sometimes just observing. I love to talk about life, art, and anything that matters to anyone.
